Meatballs with Pasta QBA Flavor

For the meatballs

  • 1 pound of ground beef
  • ¾ cup of oats
  • 1–2 tablespoons of QBA Smoky Flavor
  • 1 egg

Preparation

  1. Blend the oats with QBA Smoked until it becomes a powder.
  2. Mix that powder with the meat and egg until you achieve a texture that allows you to form the meatballs.
  3. Make your balls the size you like.
  4. In a frying pan, melt a little butter.
  5. Add the meatballs and cook until they reach 145°F (63°C) inside.
Tip:
At that temperature they become juicy and with that pinkish touch that is so captivating.

For homemade tomato sauce

  • 3-4 tomatoes with cuts on top and bottom
  • 1 ounce of water
  • 1 tablespoon of butter
  • QBA Smoky Flavor to taste
  • QBA Fine Green Salt to taste
  • A small handful of fresh spinach

Preparation

  1. Melt the butter with a little QBA Smoky Flavor.
  2. Add the whole tomatoes (with cuts on top and bottom) plus the water.
  3. Cook over low heat until the tomatoes break down on their own.
  4. Add the spinach at the end and stir everything together.
  5. Adjust with QBA Fine Green Salt to taste.
